Customer Communications Experience (CCX)

Quadient Inspire Suite

Quadient Inspire Suite, delivered by Canon IMS: any-prem customer communications management on-premises, cloud, SaaS or hybrid, under one contract.

From CCM to Customer Communications Experience

Customer communications management (CCM) creates and sends documents. Customer experience management (CXM) adds where each message fits in the customer journey. Canon brings both together as Customer Communications Experience (CCX): every message designed, orchestrated and measured as part of the customer experience.

The Quadient Inspire Suite is the platform behind it: Inspire Flex for on-premises, private cloud and hybrid, Inspire Evolve as SaaS, Inspire Journey to orchestrate communication along the journey, and Inspire Digital Vault as the governed archive.

Quadient calls this any-prem: deployment follows your infrastructure and data residency policy, and you can move to SaaS later without rebuilding templates.

Batch, on-demand and interactive: every customer conversation from one platform

Inspire combines high-volume batch production, on-demand communication triggered by core systems and interactive one-to-one correspondence. In interactive mode, an employee opens a pre-approved template from the CRM, adds a personal touch and sends it through the customer’s preferred channel, while locked clauses and brand rules keep it compliant.

All three modes share the same templates, so customers hear one consistent voice. Omdia recognised Inspire for content creation, batch and ad hoc communications.

Business teams in control: template changes without waiting for IT

A small wording change should not mean a ticket for IT. In Inspire, marketing, legal and customer service edit content in a role-based editor, within guardrails IT sets once: approved layouts, locked legal text and brand rules.

Every change is previewed with real data and approved before release, with a full audit trail. AI-assisted authoring helps write and simplify text under human review.

TRY THE SAAS MODEL

Want to test Inspire Evolve? Request a test account

Experience the SaaS edition of the Quadient Inspire Suite for yourself. With a test account you see how business teams create and change templates, preview them with sample data and send them through different channels, without installing anything. A Canon IMS consultant sets up the account and walks you through the first steps.

Moving to the cloud and migrating legacy CCM

Inspire runs on-premises, on Microsoft Azure or AWS, as a Canon Hosted Managed Service or as SaaS on the same platform, so moving to the cloud is an operational decision, not a re-implementation.

When replacing an older composition tool, InspireXpress and Quadient’s Migration Stack use AI to automate much of the template conversion, so migration can run in waves while the old platform keeps producing.

AI in customer communication, under your own governance

Inspire’s AI-agnostic architecture lets you connect your own vetted AI models to draft, translate and simplify letters, with human approval and a full audit trail. Inspire Adapt checks and corrects communications after composition, which helps with accessibility under the European Accessibility Act.

Digital sovereignty: a European vendor, and your data where you decide

Quadient is a European company, headquartered in France and listed on Euronext Paris, so the vendor behind your platform is subject to European law.

Inspire runs in your own data centre, a private cloud or with a European cloud provider, and Inspire Evolve runs in an AWS data centre in the EU. Canon IMS implements and supports it from within Europe.

From documents to journeys: orchestrating the customer experience

A claim or a new contract sets off a series of messages across channels. Inspire Journey maps those journeys, links each touchpoint to the communication behind it and shows where customers wait or drop out.

Because Journey uses the same templates as Flex and Evolve, improvements flow straight into the communication. Quadient is top-ranked for Journey Management in the Aspire Leaderboard.

Where it fits

The Quadient Inspire Suite is one of the platforms we use in our Customer Communications Experience practice. It suits organisations that need one CCM platform across many communication types, channels and teams, and want freedom over where it runs. Analysts recognise that profile: Quadient is a Leader in the AnyPrem CCM and Vendor Hosted SaaS CCM segments of the Aspire Leaderboard, in the Omdia Universe: CCM 2026 and in QKS Group’s 2026 SPARK Matrix for CCM.

Which platform we propose still depends on your process, your existing systems and the volume you handle, not on what we happen to sell.

“For most organisations we work with, the question is not whether customer communication moves to the cloud, but when, and how without starting over. Inspire turns that into a deployment decision rather than a migration project.”

Frequently asked questions

Why do organisations choose the Quadient Inspire Suite through Canon?

Because you get the platform and the people under one contract. Canon IMS combines one of the most widely deployed enterprise CCM platforms with its own expertise in document output and information management.

Advice, implementation, migration, support under an SLA and, if you want, managed services are delivered by one accountable partner. You are not left coordinating a software vendor, an integrator and a hosting provider yourself.

What is the difference between CCM, CXM and CCX?

Customer communications management (CCM) is about creating, personalising and delivering documents and messages at scale. Customer experience management (CXM) looks at the customer journey those communications are part of. Customer Communications Experience (CCX) is how Canon combines the two: every communication is designed, orchestrated and measured as part of the overall customer experience, supported by the platform, the consultants and the service levels to make that work in practice.

What does any-prem mean in Quadient Inspire?

Any-prem means the same Inspire platform can run on-premises, in a private or public cloud such as Microsoft Azure or AWS, as a hybrid set-up, as a Canon Hosted Managed Service or as SaaS. Templates, features and governance stay consistent across these models, so you can change where Inspire runs without rebuilding your communications.

What is the difference between Inspire Flex and Inspire Evolve?

Inspire Flex is the enterprise CCM platform for on-premises, private cloud and hybrid deployment, giving IT full control over infrastructure, integration and upgrade timing. Inspire Evolve is the vendor-hosted SaaS edition in Quadient Cloud, where upgrades are handled by Quadient and lines of business can maintain and send communications themselves. Both support a bring-your-own AI model approach.

Can we migrate from our current CCM platform to Quadient Inspire?

Yes. InspireXpress, which uses AI and machine learning, and Quadient’s Migration Stack accelerators automate much of the conversion of templates from legacy and competing CCM platforms. We usually plan migration in phases, by communication type or business line, so production continues on the existing platform until each wave is signed off.

How does Quadient Inspire help with the European Accessibility Act?

Inspire Adapt assesses communications after composition and corrects issues, either on demand or in high-volume batches. That helps teams check outgoing documents against accessibility requirements such as those introduced by the European Accessibility Act. We still recommend validating output against your own accessibility standard as part of the approval workflow.

Is Quadient a European vendor, and can we keep our data in Europe?

Yes. Quadient is headquartered in France and listed on Euronext Paris. Because Inspire can run on-premises, in a private cloud or with a European cloud provider of your choice, customer data and the documents generated from it can stay entirely within your own infrastructure or within the EU. Inspire Evolve, the SaaS edition, is hosted in an AWS data centre within the EU, so your data stays in Europe there too. Organisations that also want the infrastructure provider itself to be European can choose on-premises, the Canon Hosted Managed Service or a European cloud provider instead.
