How Athora Nederland moved 1.2 billion pages to Hyland OnBase in the cloud with Docspro, GDPR-compliant and with an error rate below 1%.
Athora Nederland is a major provider of life insurance and pensions, with more than a hundred years of history through Vivat and SNS Reaal. Its archive had grown by merging systems over time, and no longer met requirements once the GDPR arrived: data had to stop being linkable to a person or company where that was not allowed.
Docspro acted as implementation partner in a project organisation where both Athora’s IT and its business were represented. Together they set up a generic data model across the organisation, designed for GDPR and for recording information properly for the future.
The migration was completed with an error rate below one percent. Athora now runs fully on OnBase and the old administration has been decommissioned. Capacity and costs scale because Athora controls them itself, and business continuity is safeguarded.
