Customer story · Insurance
How insurer De Goudse moved its processing of about 5,000 incoming documents a day to the cloud with Hyland OnBase and Tungsten, together with Docspro.
De Goudse, one of the larger insurers in the Netherlands, receives about 5,000 documents a day, from email to paper, that are crucial to running the business. It wanted to move its document processing from an on-premises environment to the cloud, and use that move to take a critical look at its processes.
Docspro and De Goudse built a new cloud environment alongside the on-premises environment, which kept running until the switch. Tungsten Transformation recognises incoming documents with OCR and uses data such as the policy number to gather related information from back-office systems.
On average an incoming document is now indexed within an hour of arrival. The paper flow has almost disappeared, which is why the former mailroom is now called Document Services, and its staff can do nearly all their work remotely.
Platforms: Hyland OnBase, Tungsten TotalAgility. Practices: Intelligent Document Processing, Digital Mailroom.
“It was good to have the people from Docspro to work with throughout, because they know in detail how the system works. And they are strong advocates of sharing knowledge.”
Erwin van Gorkom, Facilities Manager, De Goudse Verzekeringen (translated from Dutch)
