Consultancy

Start smart. Before we recommend a platform, we analyse the documents, data and processes your organisation actually runs today, and use that picture to design the solution and the sequence that will pay back fastest.

A discovery assessment before anything gets decided

We start with a detailed, largely remote analysis of how documents, data and approvals actually move through the organisation today: where things arrive, where a person still opens, reads or re-keys something, and where volume is highest. The result is a breakdown of the current process by volume, by system, and by how much of it is already digital versus still running on paper or email, together with an early view of where the financial and operational upside is.
Where the decision is significant enough to warrant it, we extend the assessment with a total cost of ownership calculation, a short survey of the people who do the work today, and a check that whatever we recommend has the capacity and the interface people will actually use, not just the one that scores best on paper.

Solution design, not a product pitch

A discovery assessment only pays off if the solution it points to fits how the organisation actually works. Our consultants translate what we found into a specific, implementable design: which practice the problem actually belongs to, which platform fits it, and how it connects to the systems already in place. You get a single point of contact throughout, and documentation consistent enough that implementation does not have to start by reverse-engineering the plan.

Vendor-neutral, by design

We are not paid to sell one platform over another, so a recommendation is not weighted toward whichever vendor we happen to represent that quarter. Mendix, Workato, uniFLOW sysHUB, Tungsten Automation, Banqup and Scrive each solve a different part of the problem well; consultancy is where we work out which one, or which combination, actually fits your process, your existing systems and your compliance obligations.

Compliance is part of the design, not an afterthought

Where NIS2, DORA or GDPR apply, retention rules, access control and audit trail requirements are decided during consultancy, together with your own legal and compliance people, so the platform we recommend is one that can meet them from day one rather than being retrofitted later.

Capabilities

Discovery assessment: A structured, largely remote analysis of document and data flows, current systems and where the effort actually goes today.

Discovery assessment, advanced: Total cost of ownership modelling and a short stakeholder survey, for decisions significant enough to warrant it.

Solution consultancy and design: Translating what we found into a specific, implementable design, with one point of contact throughout.

Vendor-neutral platform selection: A recommendation across intelligent document processing, content services, process automation and customer communication experience platforms, not just the one we happen to sell.

Compliance mapping: Retention, access and audit trail requirements under NIS2, DORA and GDPR built into the design from the start.

Roadmap and business case: A staged plan and the numbers behind it, so the next phase can be approved on its own merits.

AI and automation roadmap: Where AI agents and automation add value, connected through MCP under governance, permissions and a full audit trail.

Where it fits

Consultancy is how the Discover and Design phases of our approach are delivered as a standalone engagement, whether or not you continue with us for what comes after.

Frequently asked questions

How long does a discovery assessment take?

A standard assessment is largely remote and typically takes two to three weeks from kick-off to findings, depending on how many systems and processes are in scope. The advanced version, with the TCO calculation and stakeholder survey, usually adds one to two weeks.

Do we have to continue with Acxess for implementation afterwards?

No. The recommendation and the documentation are yours to take to another partner or to your own team. Most clients continue with us because the handover is already done, not because they are obliged to.

What if the answer is that we do not need a new platform?

That happens. Several engagements conclude that the highest-value fix is a change to how an existing system is used, not a new one. We would rather say that than sell a platform that is not needed.

How does compliance fit into a consultancy engagement?

Where NIS2, DORA or GDPR apply to the process in scope, retention, access and audit trail requirements are mapped during the assessment, together with your own legal and compliance people, and factored into the design we hand over.
