Robotic Process Automation

Free your team from the repetitive, rule-based work between systems. Software robots handle the data entry, the screen-to-screen copying and the report generation, accurately and at whatever volume the moment calls for.

Where repetitive keystrokes become a software robot's job

Robotic Process Automation uses software robots to mimic the repetitive, rule-based steps a person currently does by hand between systems: reading a screen, copying a value, entering it somewhere else. Typical work includes data entry, invoice processing and report generation, running on the same platform as our document processing tools.

Where a system offers no sensible way in, no API, no modern interface, the robot automates the interaction itself, so an ageing application stops being the reason a process cannot move.

Extra capacity for the weeks that need it, not a headcount request

Month-end, tax season or a system migration all create a temporary spike in repetitive work. A software robot scales up for exactly that period and back down once it passes, without a temporary hiring round and without the ramp-up time a new hire needs.

The same rules, followed the same way, every time

A person doing the same task a thousand times will eventually make a small transcription error. A robot follows the predefined rule the same way on run one and run ten thousand, which is what actually reduces the risk of the kind of manual mistake that turns into a compliance finding.

Better data in, better decisions out

Processing that is faster and more consistent also produces data you can trust, which is what makes the reporting and the decisions built on top of it more reliable, not just the task itself.

Capabilities

Rule-based automation: Takes over the repetitive digital tasks a person currently does by hand between systems: reading a screen, copying a value, entering it somewhere else.

Consistent accuracy: Every run follows the same predefined rule the same way, removing the small transcription errors that build up at volume.

Works without native integration: Automates the interaction itself for systems with no API or sensible way in, so an ageing application is not the reason a process gets stuck.

Elastic capacity: Scales up for month-end, tax season or a migration project, and back down once the peak has passed, without a temporary hiring round.

Detailed audit trail: A record per automated step, which is what turns a repetitive process into one you can actually demonstrate compliance for.

Built on a document intelligence platform: Positioned at the point where automation and document understanding meet, rather than as a robotic tool working in isolation.

Where it fits

Robotic Process Automation is one of the capabilities we bring into our Process Automation practice, delivered through Tungsten Automation. Which platform we propose depends on your process, your existing systems and the volume you handle, not on what we happen to sell.

“We use Tungsten Automation for the steps that are pure repetition and no judgement call: reading a screen, entering a value elsewhere, moving to the next case. It runs on the same platform as our document processing tools, so a robotic step and a document-understanding step sit in one workflow instead of two.”

Questions we get asked

What kinds of tasks does this apply to?

Repetitive, rule-based digital work: data entry, invoice processing, report generation, and copying values between systems that were never built to talk to each other.

Does this replace our staff?

It removes the repetitive part of the job, not the job. People move to the exceptions and the judgement calls, the robot handles the rest, consistently and at whatever volume the moment calls for.

Can it scale up for busy periods?

Yes. Capacity increases for month-end, tax season or a migration project without a temporary hiring round, and scales back down once the peak passes.

What about compliance and audit requirements?

Every automated step follows the same predefined rule every time and leaves a detailed audit trail, which is exactly what reduces the risk of the kind of manual error that causes non-compliance.

Does it work with our existing systems?

It is built to automate the interaction itself where a system has no sensible way in, no API, no modern interface, so an ageing application is not the reason a process gets stuck.
